Forest Green are delighted to welcome Harry Cardwell to the club, signing from fellow National League side Southend United for an undisclosed fee after meeting his release clause.

The 27-year-old forward joins the club following two-and-a-half years at the Shrimpers scoring 27 goals in 80 appearances.

His 18 goals and five assists helped Southend to a 9th-place finish in the 2023/24 campaign.

He has also been an ever-present in their 2024-25 season so far scoring once against Boston United in a 2-0 win for the Shrimpers.

The former Reading, Stockport County, and Grimsby Town forward is also a Scotland U19 international.

Cardwell adds further presence to the forward unit and bolsters the department with Joe Quigley having signed from Chesterfield as well as Christian Doidge and Tyrese Omotoye already at the club.

The forward will wear the number 23 shirt.
