Rovers return to The Fully Charged New Lawn hoping to get back to winning ways against Oldham Athletic on Easter Monday.
Here’s the lowdown on the relegation-fighting Latics ahead of the tie.
MEET THE MANAGER: JOHN SHERIDAN
Oldham boss John Sheridan is extremely well-known at Boundary Park and re-joined the club as manager for a fourth time back in January.
The midfielder played all of his football in the north where he turned out for the likes of Leeds United and Sheffield Wednesday in the top flight.
Sheridan finished his career with the Latics making over 150 appearances in a six year spell before deciding to hang up his boots.
The former Republic of Ireland international has managed a number of clubs in the Football League including Plymouth Argyle, Notts County and Chesterfield, where he gained promotion to League One.
After a spell with Swindon Town at the turn of 2020, the 57 year old spent around eight months out of a job before returning to Oldham.
Sheridan came in and went on a seven match unbeaten run, boosting Oldham’s chances of survival despite a run of six straight defeats following that.
KEY PLAYER: DAVIS KEILLOR-DUNN
Tyneside-born midfielder Davis Keillor-Dunn signed for Oldham back in October 2020.
Keillor-Dunn played for a variety of clubs during his youth years learning the game with the likes of Middlesbrough, Sunderland and Chesterfield.
After joining Scottish Premiership outfit Ross County aged 19, the then youngster impressed eventually signing a first team contract.
After two years in Dingwall the 24 year old moved to Wales signing for National League Wrexham where he failed to really make his mark.
He finally returned to England joining Oldham and got going quickly, scoring his first goal against Bradford City in the EFL Trophy.
This season has certainly been Keillor-Dunn’s most prolific, netting 13 times playing in all 42 of the Latics League Two games as well as receiving the February Player of the Month award.

LAST TIME OUT
Oldham fell to a second successive defeat against promotion chasing sides as they lost 2-0 to Northampton Town at Boundary Park.
The hosts had a number of chances but it was the away side that took the lead on 44 minutes as Jon Guthrie scored his seventh of the season volleying home a Sam Hoskins free kick.
John Sheridan’s side thought they were level after the break but Carl Piergianni’s strike was disallowed for handball by the referee.
Louis Appere doubled the Cobblers lead not long after the hour mark as Latics keeper Danny Rogers couldn’t get enough on the Scot’s strike to keep it out.
And Oldham’s misery was compiled when skipper Piergianni was sent off two minutes from time.
The defeat leaves Oldham three points from safety in the relegation zone whilst Northampton boosted their bid for automatic promotion.
LAST TIME WE MET
Rovers and Oldham played out a freak 5-5 all draw as we surrendered a three-goal lead at Boundary Park back in December.
Davis Keillor-Dunn scored a screamer to put the hosts ahead before Jack Aitchison and a Jamille Matt double put daylight between the sides before the break.
Into the second half and Matty Stevens was in on the act to make it four before quick fire goals from Hallam Hope and Keillor-Dunn cut the deficit to one.
Stevens scored a fifth to seemingly kill the game off but a Jack Stobbs goal followed by Kane Wilson turning into his own net had the scores at five apiece.
The last 10 minutes saw no goals as the hectic draw saw Rovers extend their unbeaten run to nine games.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
The two sides first met in League Two action back in 2018 and have met a total of seven times all together in their respective histories.
Rovers have a very impressive record against the Latics having never lost, winning three times and drawing four, including that incredible 5-5 draw back in December .
Our most memorable clash came on the final day of last season as a 3-0 Rovers win behind closed doors confirmed a place in the play-offs.
