Jordon Garrick believes Saturday's 1-1 draw at home to Lincoln City shows that there is still plenty of fight left in the Forest Green team.
Rovers came from behind to pick up a point against the Imps, with Garrick scoring against his former club to cancel out Ben House's early strike.
It really was a performance of two halves from Rovers, with FGR struggling to create any chances in the first period, but they were dominant in the second, as Duncan Ferguson picked up his first point at The Bolt New Lawn.
“The gaffer said at half-time that we had to change our plans, and I think that helped the boys," said the goalscorer, Garrick.
"He came into the dressing room and he was clear about what he wanted to do and how he wanted to play in the second half.
“Half-time was a bit of a kick in the backside, like ‘come on, you’re better than what you’re showing out there’. No matter how big the pressure is, we have to be calm and carry on playing our football."
Ferguson's half-time team talk clearly worked - and Rovers can consider themselves unlucky to have not won the game, with Corey O'Keeffe missing a one-on-one and Myles Peart-Harris forcing a save from Carl Rushworth.
It's only two points from a possible 18 for Ferguson, but performances have warranted a greater points return, and Garrick believes Rovers just need to make little tweaks to put together a few wins.
“It’s frustrating but I feel like a win is coming because we’re putting in good performances," he said. "What we need to do is control the majority of the game and try and limit other teams to fewer chances. If we cut out little mistakes, we’ll start turning draws into wins.
“We’re not down and dead yet. As you saw out there, we’ve got plenty of fight left in us and we just need the fans to stick by us. We’re going to fight for everything. I’m going to give my all in every game and in every training session, and I know the other boys will too.
“I’ll never give up. I want us to stay in League One and I’ll do everything in my power to make sure we stay up."
