FGR were victorious at the Plastic Free Awards in Bristol on Friday evening.
Held at Bristol Museum & Art Gallery by UK-based charity Surfers Against Sewage, we were crowned winners in the Sporting for Change category. British fencer Marcus Mepstead and Surf School Wales were also nominated for the award.
The awards ceremony brought together environmental activists and community leaders from a wide range of sectors from around the UK, all of whom have made sizeable contributions towards the plastic free movement.
A lot of our partners have played a huge part in helping reduce our plastic usage here at Forest Green Rovers. Therefore, we'd like to give a big thanks to:

Chief Executive, Marcus Reynolds, said: "It was an energising experience attending the Plastic Free Awards alongside so many organisations that share the same Eco-passion as Forest Green Rovers.
"As a club, we are not only guardians of football on behalf of the fans and community, but as the greenest football club in the world, we take our role as a guardian of the environment extremely seriously. Forest Green Rovers will continue to innovate in this space and use our influence to encourage others to do the same."
