Forest Green Rovers are excited to announce the use of repurposed seats in the dugout.
FGR's dugout area at The New Lawn stadium will now feature luxurious seating made from the highest quality materials, using repurposed car seats. This unique initiative reflects the club's dedication to reducing waste and embracing sustainable practices while also enhancing the overall matchday experience for the club's players and staff.
Luxury car manufacturer, JLR, has generously gifted a number of engineering test seats to support the project, providing ultimate comfort for Forest Green Rovers' coaching staff and substitutes. This donation nods to JLR’s shared commitment to sustainability and how it is adopting circularity principles to reduce waste and keep materials in use for as long as possible before being recycled.
This initiative illustrates how organisations from different sectors can work together to promote circularity, with one person's waste being another person's treasure, keeping materials in use for longer.
Marcus Reynolds, CEO of Forest Green Rovers, expressed his excitement about this unique collaboration, saying: "It's about shared values and pioneering ways to reduce waste and repurpose materials. Our new dugout seating is a testament to our joint commitment to sustainability."
