We are delighted to announce that Dom Bernard has been selected as FGR's club captain for the 23/24 season.
The Gloucestershire-born defender has captained Rovers throughout pre-season and is now our longest-serving player.
Dom's defensive colleague, Jordan Moore-Taylor, has taken on the role of vice-captain and will wear the armband when Dom isn't on the pitch.
After becoming our new skipper, the 26-year-old said: "I'm over the moon. I know I've worn the armband through the seasons when other captains have been here, but to be named club captain is truly an honour.
"There's loads of leaders in that changing room, so to wear the armband is special."
Head Coach, David Horseman, said: "Dom and Jordy have been absolutely incredible since we came into the building.
"They're really forward with their communication and they can clearly get hold of a dressing room.
"They love the club - and I think that's really important because they represent the people."
