Dokes extends Rovers stay

June 17th 2021Noah Dougherty

Udoka Godwin-Malife has today signed a new two-year deal at FGR, extending his stay in Nailsworth until the end of the 2022/23 season.

The young defender proved a crucial part of Rovers’ run to the play-offs last season, playing more games than anyone else in the squad.

“I love this club.” he said.

“This is where I got my first professional contract and everyone here has been good to me. I’ve been shown great loyalty and I felt I should repay that.”

Rich-Hughes-Dokes

Rich Hughes, Director of Football, added: “Dokes is a fantastic young player with so much potential. Getting him signed was a priority for us and we’re really pleased to have got it done so early – it puts us in a great place.”
