The Forest Green Rovers' Under 18 squad continued their excellent work with the local community on Friday, as they joined Nailsworth CofE Primary School for their Daily Mile.

The Daily Mile initiative encourages young students to engage in a more active lifestyle. A simple 15-minute run or jog not only improving their mental and physical well-being, but having a positive impact on attention span, concentration, learning capacity and even behaviour.

Nailsworth Primary, which sits less than 100 metres from The New Lawn, is one of many schools across the country, and in fact the world, which participates in the scheme.

More than 10,000 schools, and more than two million children, participate in the run at least three times a week, and that number is ever growing.

Active Gloucestershire are one of the driving forces for the initiative across the county and, as of Tuesday, November 26, 155 schools in Gloucestershire are already taking part.

Nailsworth are one of many primary schools across the county which Rovers work closely with as part of their work in the community.
