Sam Hendy smashed home the game’s opening goal in the first-half as a Lewis Spurrier corner was headed across goal by Dan Ogunleye to Hendy who simply couldn’t miss from just a couple yards out.

Ogunleye had a fantastic chance to double the home side’s lead from the penalty spot, but his strike went wide of the target.

Rovers didn’t have to wait long to score a second though, which again came from a corner.

Full-back Ethan Hill swung the ball in towards forward Ollie Artwell who leapt highest to confidently head the ball home from just a couple yards out.

The weather started to take effect on the game as it wore on, as challenges began to fly in and slip ups were beginning to gift both sides more chances.

The away side began to find their way back into the game and pulled one back midway through the second-half after a composed finish from their striker.

The goal inspired the away side and they found themselves back on level terms through winger Zain Walker.

The youngster snuck in at the back-post to acrobatically finish for the equaliser as both sides had to settle for a 2-2 draw for the second time in two meetings.
