Covil makes Salisbury loan switch

Winger Vaughn Covil has joined Southern League Premier South side Salisbury FC on a one-month youth loan.

The 17-year-old joined the academy last season after spending five years on the south coast with Southampton - and signed professional terms with Rovers this summer until the end of the 2021/22 season.

Covil made his senior debut in our EFL Trophy tie with Coventry City last season - and alongside Harvey Bunker, became the youngest members of the first-team squad for the 2019/20 campaign.

The youngster will now continue his development at Steve Claridge's side - who host Poole Town this weekend.
