As the football season draws to a close, it has been a busy time within the Forest Green community. Several awards were handed out before Saturday's game against Oxford United.
Rovers’ first-team players Lewis Thomas and Kyle McAllister were on hand to give out the Premier League Kicks awards for Forest Green Rovers’ Community participants after they represented the community programme in the Premier League Kicks’ regional tournament.
Ruby, Joe, Finn, Yilmaz, Callum, Calvin and Alfie all represented Rovers in the tournament, as they would also go on to win the Fair Play award for the event. Thomas and McAllister also handed Finn the Players’ Player of the tournament for his contributions to the team.
The Primary School Ambassador of the Year award was given to Brooke, who has shown great dedication and passion to her role, assisting on several matchdays while also being a great supporter of the women’s side as well.
Secondary school ambassador of the year was awarded to Roo, who has been a brilliant help with her can-do attitude this season, helping the community with a large range of tasks throughout the year and an admirable effort towards matchday tasks.
Last but definitely not least, Theodore was the recipient of the William Fletcher memorial award for overcoming hurdles.
Theodore has served as one of our ambassador alumni, has been part of several away trips, PL Kicks sessions, and he even has managed to involve members of his family in these activities as well.
A huge congratulations to all involved from Forest Green Rovers on some brilliant achievements!
