Forest Green Rovers are disappointed to learn that one of our players was subject to racial abuse from a Fleetwood Town supporter this evening.

The incident happened in the first half of the game. A male was escorted out of the ground, handed to police and was subsequently arrested.

There is no place for racism in football and society. We will continue to assist Gloucestershire Police and the Football Association with their enquiries.

The club will make no further comment at this time.
