Brown returns to Nailsworth

June 30th 2022
Conor Shaw

Forest Green Rovers have completed the signing of midfielder Reece Brown, following his departure from Huddersfield Town.

The 26-year-old joins Ian Burchnall’s side after loan spells with Peterborough United over the last two years, in which he helped the Posh achieve promotion to the Championship.

Capped at England Under 20 level, the midfielder needs little introduction to Rovers fans – making 94 appearances in all competitions for the club after signing from boyhood side Birmingham City in the summer of 2017.

Reece Brown said: “I am really delighted to be here. I have great memories of being here at the club – and I just want to recreate those moments.

Head Coach Ian Burchnall added: “We are really happy to get Reece on-board. He was one of the first names mentioned when I joined the club after his previous spell, where he was massively popular with the fans and was a great performer on the pitch.

“He’s got a lot of experience. He’s won League One before and now has Championship experience too. Reece is a super talented player who can be really creative in the team for us, so we’re all happy to have him with us.”
