Forest Green Rovers are back on the road tomorrow as they travel to Port Vale looking to maintain their unbeaten start to the campaign.

A 1-1 draw has been a familiar sight at the start of Port Vale’s season, with their three league games to date all finishing this way, while they fell to a narrow 2-1 defeat at home to Burton Albion in the Carabao Cup last week.

Reception at The New Lawn will continue to be open on a Thursday but will now be between the hours of 9am and 3pm or the ticket office is open before or after each home match for those who prefer to buy in person.

Tickets can be purchased online until 10am on Monday, August 19, or from the Port Vale ticket office on the day of the game. Port Vale have a £2 price increase on tickets bought on the day, so fans are encouraged to buy in advance.

All tickets are for covered, allocated seating within the away, all-seated stand.

There are wheelchair and carer spaces reserved, however these must be booked directly by calling 01782 655821.

Disabled fans pay the concession rate, or the relevant lower category and the carer ticket is free of charge. Evidence must be shown when requested.

Fans can jump on the club’s official transport for the game, with coach travel available to purchase through the Forest Green Rovers online shop HERE.

The round-trip to Port Vale takes around four hours and 20 minutes. The 30-minute rest stop is scheduled for Stafford Services.

From the South - Leave M6 at junction 15 and take the A500 north to Stoke-on-Trent. Continue on this road until you come to the exit signposted Tunstall A5271. Take the fourth exit, and after half a mile turn right on to the B5051 (second exit, Newcastle Street) at the small roundabout.

Carry on up to the next roundabout and go straight across to the crossroads. Go straight across the crossroads into Moorland Road. Take the second left on to Hamil Road and Vale Park is on the left.


Parking for visiting fans is directly in front of the Hamil Road Stand in Car Park C. Visiting coaches can also access this car park.

Car parking is pay on the day.

For disabled parking, there is a reserved area for a limited amount of car providing wider bays.


There are three bus services that run to Burslem Town centre which is a short walk from Vale Park.

98/98A: Runs regularly from Newcastle Bus Station to Burslem town centre.

20/20A/29/21/21A: Runs regularly from Hanley Bus Station to Burslem town centre.

7/7A/7B/7C: Runs regularly from Stoke-on-Trent Bus Station through to Hanley Bus Station and then to Burslem town centre.


Trains run to the main Stoke-on-Trent station. From there, you can catch a bus to Burslem town centre. The Ground is situated on Hamil Road (by the traffic lights, go past the Red Lion on your left and Hamil Road is the second left turning.)

You can also catch the train to Longport station which is a 25-minute walk to Vale Park. Head up Station Street then head onto Newcastle Street until you reach Burslem town centre. Hamil Road is then on your left.


Vale Park has kiosks in all four of its stands, with hot and cold food available to buy as well soft drinks, water and alcohol.

The Bull’s Head pub in Burslem town centre is welcoming to away fans and is a ‘must see’ for real ale drinkers.
