Forest Green Rovers have strengthened their off-the-pitch team with the appointment of former Stroud News and Journal Sports Editor, Ash Loveridge.

Ash joins the new Content Team (previously Media Team) as FGR’s Content Editor and will commence his new role on July 27.

He’s reported on Rovers for almost two decades at the Stroud News and Journal, charting their progress from non-league to a Wembley play-off final victory into the EFL in 2017, as well as there first three seasons in League Two.

Paragraph Break

“I'm thrilled to join the team at FGR and can't wait to get started," said Ash.

"Forest Green are an exciting club to be part of with their unique and progressive way of doing things. The ambition of the Chairman, Dale Vince, and Chief Executive, Henry Staelens, will certainly make for an interesting journey."

On the appointment Henry Staelens, Chief Executive, said: “Ash is a great fit for us. He’s good at what he does and knows the Club inside-out. Alongside this, he is a likeable character with a ‘can do’ attitude, which is a really important trait in a small, ambitious team. I have no doubt he’ll be a real asset to us as we continue to refine and improve our off-field operation”.
