September brought about a number of things to shout about here in the FGR Academy - here's a round-up of the key events.

ACADEMY ACHEIVEMENTS

Our U17s won their first fixture in the PDL Cup vs MK Dons with a number of U16s making their debut!

FGR U18s played Gloucester City in the GFA Senior Cup and won 3-0 with goals from Billy and George.

September brought the academy back to full-time training. We hosted numerous events, such as, keepy uppy challenge in support of If You Care Share, ED&I training for all players, and introduction of our player pathway groups. We also invited in Gordon from WWPIS to speak with parents.

ACADEMY SUCCESS

Academy graduate Jose Marquez has been added to the first-team squad after impressing with Alvechurch.

Thomas Conteh has joined Will Merrett at Alvechurch after making a good impression in NL Cup appearances here at The New Lawn.

Academy graduates Jesse Aldridge and Akai Bonnick are continuing their loans at Hartpury with the side currently 3rd in the league.
