In our third edition of Academy Watch, here's a round-up of the key events to keep you updated with all things FGR Academy!
ACADEMY OVERVIEW
March was a month packed with fixtures for all age groups, with games against Brighton & Hove Albion, Bristol City and Cardiff City being the highlights.
Our games programme is always developing with more teams from different areas, helping support the development of our players in all age groups.
ACADEMY ACHEIVEMENTS
Our foundation phase played in our Power of Ten Champions League in-house festival with Liverpool the overall winners.
FGR U18s and U16s played against Brighton and Hove Albion – The 18s drew 1-1 and the 16s lost narrowly 1-0.
We invited all players and a guardian to watch the first team’s 2-1 victory over Sutton United earlier this month.

On Monday 24th March, we invited in the ETC for a mixed tournament. This was a great evening for the club and shows the importance of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.
