Abrefa sign on loan

Forest Green Rovers are delighted to announce the loan signing of right-back Kelvin Abrefa from Reading until December.

The 22-year-old becomes our twelfth signing of the current window.

Abrefa has made over 80 appearances for Reading, including 27 appearances last season, registering two assists, and a further 30 appearances during the 2024/25 campaign.

He came through Reading's youth ranks, progressing from the U18s to the U23s before making his professional senior debut against West Brom in the 2021/22 campaign.

The right-back also has one cap under his belt for the U20 Ghanaian international team.

"It's great to have Kelvin with us. He brings a wealth of EFL experience to our defensive options at just 22 years old. It's a position we've needed cover in for a while, so he now gives us good options to choose from in the squad."
