A late equaliser from Mitch Pinnock secured a point for Northampton Town in a 1-1 draw with Rovers.
Matty Stevens found the back of the net with twenty minutes remaining but deep into stoppage time, Jon Brady's side found their way back into the game.
Rob Edwards made one change from the midweek victory over Colchester United, with Dan Sweeney selected over Regan Hendry in the heart of midfield alongside Ben Stevenson.
Northampton were perhaps unfortunate not to race into the lead through Pinnock. The former Wimbledon forward looked to catch Rovers off-guard with a curling effort, which struck the post before rolling across the goal line.
Rovers had to wait until the half-hour mark for their first notable opportunity. Jamille Matt raced through on goal holding off his marker to test Liam Roberts with a powerful effort destined for the far corner, but the Cobblers' stopper's finger-tip save denied him.
In a first-half of limited chances, Matty Stevens looked to add to his impressive tally in front of goal just before the break. The 23-year-old managed to block Jon Guthrie's clearance before bearing down on goal, but cleared the crossbar with his attempt from outside the area.
FGR were on the front foot after half-time and went so close to breaking the deadlock when Matt's header hit the base of the post.
The goal that did eventually give the visitors the lead came with a slice of controversy with Stevens deeming to have smuggled Nicky Cadden's corner over the line despite Northampton's furious protests.
That looked to be the goal that made all the difference until the fifth minute of added time when Pinnock dramatically fired a sweet shot into the bottom corner for a share of the spoils.
