FGR were the victorious side in a cracking seven-goal thriller at the innocent New Lawn against Oldham Athletic.
Mark Cooper made just the one change to the starting line-up from victory on the road at Carlisle United - with Dan Sweeney replacing Jordan Moore-Taylor in the back-line.
Both sides looked tentative in the opening ten minutes - but it was the home side who managed to sneak into an early lead. Picking up the loose ball from Nicky Cadden, Rovers defender Baily Cargill raced into the penalty area - and unleashed a powerful effort beyond Latics stopper Ian Lawlor.
With the first half drawing to it's conclusion, Cooper's charges doubled their advantage courtesy of the former MK Dons man - yet again. The ball was hanging in the air with both Lawlor and Cargill looking to challenge for it - and it was the latter who managed to nod the ball home.
But, Harry Kewell's side weren't going down without a fight - and with goals either side of the interval, managed to pull the match level. On-loan Wrexham forward Bobby Grant capitalised on some space to fire home before Conor McAleny added a second just nine minutes into the second half.
Rovers looked to the substitute bench - and brought on lead marksman Jamille Matt, who on the hour mark, put the home side back in the lead. Birmingham loan-star Odin Bailey lofted a cross towards the Jamaican forward - and he nodded home to restore their advantage.
It was turning out to be quite the contest when just three minutes later, former Everton man McAleny fired home from the edge of the area to draw the match level.
It wasn't over - as, yes - yet again - three minutes later, Charlton loanee Josh Davison pulled off an excellent header from Isaac Hutchinson's cross to beat Lawlor and secure all three points for Rovers.
