Forest Green played out an entertaining 2-2 draw with Morecambe at the innocent New Lawn.
Head Coach Mark Cooper was forced to make one change after Ebou Adams' picked up an injury last time out against Grimsby Town, with defender Baily Cargill returning to the side.
Aaron Collins started the encounter on fine form, forcing Shrimps keeper Kyle Letheren into a strong save within the opening five minutes to deny the Welshman from close range.
Moments later and the Rovers forward fired home the attack he started with a fine-finish on the half-volley beyond Letheren. Coming up against his former club, Collins picked up a low cross from Kane Wilson - and poked the ball home.
Derek Adams' side were looking strong and agressive in their approach for an equaliser - and were duly rewarded. Former Tranmere Rovers man Cole Stockton used his power to beat off the defenders within the penalty area and fired underneath Luke McGee.
Rovers looked confident heading into the second half - and forged their first opportunity just moments after the interval. Scott Wagstaff held the ball up for Collins - and the forward curled his strike over the crossbar.
The home side also seemed spirited by the additions of Jayden Richardson and Odin Bailey - and it was the latter who saw sight of goal within moments of entering the field of play, firing directly at Letheren.
Cooper charges rallied for the final ten minutes of the match - and went in front for the second time in the encounter through lead marksman Jamille Matt. The 31-year-old connected with Collins' cross to nod home his 16th league goal of the season.
But, deep into added time, Rovers were undone at the back - and after a cross was sent into the area, FGR failed to clear the ball and the visitors claimed a point.
