Forest Green bowed out of the FA Youth Cup with a 3-0 defeat to Exeter City at The Bolt New Lawn.
The final scoreline was harsh on a Rovers side who created chances throughout the game - and finished the first-half particularly strongly.
Jose Marquez had an early header which went over the bar, before Murphy Bennett's low drive was saved by Exeter goalkeeper Harry Lee.
However, it was the young Grecians who took the lead through George Spencer, as the striker rounded Dylan John before finishing into an empty net.
Curtis Dunn flashed an effort wide shortly after the break, while John make some stunning saves at the other end to deny Mitch Beardmore - the standout one being from a free-kick just outside the box.
However, Exeter grabbed two late goals to seal the victory. Substitute Pedro Borges doubled the Grecians' advantage, before Beardmore completed the scoring with the last kick of the game.
