The links between FGR and Bristol seem to be growing, how did the move at the start of the season into League Two come about?

I did pre-season with Bristol again and then I got a phone call saying Forest Green were interested in me and I felt that was the right decision for me and the platform of the Football League was the perfect option for me at the time.

I’m grateful for the opportunity. It is a couple of step ups in league, so the speed of the game is quicker, the players technically, with all respect, are better, and it is down to working hard in training.

I feel like I have done well in the games I have played in and I have to continue to perform well.

You came in against Charlton Athletic where you kept a clean sheet and made some great penalty saves, did you feel the pressure with the competition for places straight away?

The goalkeeping union is great here, Tomo (Lewis Thomas) is a really good goalkeeper and a really nice guy and Smudge (Adam Smith) is a good goalkeeper as well and that helps in training when you have got that quality around you because it pushes everyone on and it keeps you on your toes because you know you can’t have an off day because Tomo or Smudge is going to be on it.

From that debut, you’ve kept eight clean sheets, what do you put it down to? Is it a collective effort?

Yes, 100 per cent. It is down to every one of the 11 players on the pitch.

I don’t think it would be possible without the rest of the team. It is a compliment to the team and it is also a plus for a goalkeeper to have that many clean sheets.

I suppose it is a similar feeling to a striker scoring, keeping a clean sheet. Coming and catching a cross in the last minute to take the pressure off the lads or making a worldie save is just as important as a goal.
